Even Weekend Vikings love the luxury of 12v/240v water heating for civilized comforts far from home

The 12v/240V Duoetto is suited to sailing and power pleasure craft, as well as work boats

An Australian-engineered hot water innovation is winning global markets for its ability to deliver hygiene, comfort, cleaning and showering in locations ranging from marinas and inland waterways to the remotest fishing, coastal camping and anchorage spots at sea.

Aus J Hot Water Solutions has introduced its new Duoetto MK2 12v/240v 10-litre water heater to the local and global yachting, power boat, work boat, marina, remote port and pleasure craft markets.

This latest model – available to individuals and OEMs through www.ausj.com.au – is part of an Australian-designed Aus J Hot Water Solutions range of which more than 30,000 units have been sold globally.

The Duoetto MK2 builds on the local and international success of the first model in enabling owners of recreational vessels and land-based RVs to enjoy civilised home comforts wherever they are on land or sea in Australia, the Asia Pacific, Middle East, Africa, Europe and America.

Aus J Managing Director Mr Jay King says the tough, Australian-designed compact and durable water heater offers selectable temperatures between 30-70 deg C (86-158F) on 240v so people can shower, wash, clean and enjoy abundant hot water whether mains power is available or not.

The latest versions feature a digital temperature control on the side of the heater, while automatic sensors allow switching to 12V when mains power is not available. This enables the Duoetto to deliver ample hot water in remote areas such as campsites or on boats where mains power is unavailable, which is often is in large areas of major marine, RV, and work vessel markets,” says Mr King.

“Everyone appreciates being able to clean up and shower comfortably – it doesn’t matter if you are a rough and tough work boat operator, adventure travel specialist or a Weekend Viking who wants to wash the kids or clean the dog after it has rolled in the sand.”

Tested in extremes

We have good markets among younger adventurers, but also among retired people who yearn to ramble and sail away, but not without clean home comforts, thank you!’.

“These heaters will do the job every time – we have sold them to individuals and OEM companies for service in climatic extremes, from continuously salty marine environments, to sunny Australia, Africa, the Middle East and California, through to through to frozen northern continental areas.”

The MK2 has a number of upgrades on the previous version, designed to give the new water heater even greater quality, durability and longevity than the original, which has become OEM equipment on major RV specialists in Australia and elsewhere because of its functionality and reliability in service over a wide range of use and climatic conditions.

Upgrades include:

The Duoetto MK2 comes with internationally recognised Australian WaterMark accreditation, which means that it passed tests and requirements regarding its suitability for supplying water for human consumption. These tests encompass taste, smell, toxins and corrosive effects on plumbing and pipework.

Drawing a miniscule 4.2 amps at 240V (1000w) and 25 amps at 12v (300w), the 409 x 262 x 267mm Duoetto MK2 retains the strengths of its predecessor, including:
